The high-quality natural stone blocks are produced by the progressive enterprise of «Unikom-prom, LTD», which is situated in town Nova Borova, in Zhytomir region.
New building season is in full play. There is much work in building areas, the producers of numerous materials work erecting buildings, finishing, making roof, equipping with modern amenities of the small holdings, where the all acquainted granite stone blocks belong. New season is more perfect technological stage of products for dynamically developing now building sphere. And if, for example, everything is clear with brick or cement, it is necessary to understand and know something about materials for paving.
The point is that in last 5-7 years there has been a boom with artificial variants of this products which, by the way have a very high price and very doubtful quality, this fact is for some reasons is not taken into account by builders of Ukraine. Just think: ordinary paving blocks on concrete basis, other blocks, made with the use of the imported plasticizers and dyes, a block produced by vibrocasting – what is not done to create the effect of novelty, to deceive the customer spending minimum production inputs and getting maximal income. These fairy-tales about super-modern technologies of materials, having synthetic nature, are already known to the users of Europe, where quite new criteria of commodity estimation were formed, that’s why nobody wants to hear about a paving stone on concrete basis, however, as well as plastic windows. In the countries of indeed high-tech builders have already been using for long ago only that, what had been tested for ages, and so does not require advertising or some other ways of advancement to the market.
This is natural stone that is everlasting. For many ages humanity learned to process it to perfection and to make everything, beginning from difficult architectural forms to the facing tiles and stone blocks. However, production of material for paving is also not nearly simple work, what we are sure of now, especially after visiting the company «Unikom-prom, LTD», which is the leading producer of the chopped and sawn stone blocks at the Ukrainian market. So, imagine, what powerful and also exact equipment must be used, to make thousands of tons of products in a year, which must meet the requirements of DINs very strictly. If we take, for example, sawn-finish stone block, according to norms, the rejection of geometrical facial norms is assumed only to 1-1,5 mm, what is achieved due to modern equipment of foreign production and demanding service of Department of Technician Control, which carefully responsible for products without cracks and failings. Going back to the equipment, we will stress it uniqueness. In fact enterprise in Nova Borova is equipped with actually the katest technique: it has a powerful stone-splitted line of the Italian production, able to produce about 700 tons of stone blocks in a month. But technique doesn’t solve the question itself.
An enormous value has such a factor, as skillful organization of labour and proper professional preparation of working staff, that especially concerns an operator who must properly put a purveyance under a press, to place it, and to treadle a pedal of a splitting machine. Sawn-finish stone-block is produced here on analogical, high technological level what becomes possible due to effective machine-tools of domestic and foreign production, equipped disks with diamond solderings. These are basic production links and technical base, which can be hardly found at the Ukrainian market. And how much additional equipment the presented factory has the work of which is wholly directed to the production of high-quality natural goods, being in enormous demand, both on internal and on external markets.
By the way, the company «Unikom-prom, LTD» sends the most part of paving stone blocks – 90% to Russia, due to its strategic partner on sale the company «Rosgranit», that serves as the very reliable indicator of goods of high quality produced by it. Notably, The well known territory of the whole world Kazansky Kremlin, Sergiev Posad, that is in Moscow Suburb Zagorske, and other similar objects were paved by stone blocks made in Nova Borova, thatindicates the high image of the producer.
«You will think, natural stone: it is good for hardness, and as for the assortment of stone blocks - it will not, you say», - producers of cement-sandy goods can make an attempt to score a goal, playing a trump here due to the possibilities of combination of different components and forms. Frankly speaking, we thought so before, because did not know possibilities of equipment and skills of stuff of «Unikom-prom, LTD». Now we are sure that it is possible to make the great number of materials for paving, from a natural stone and not only. As an example, it can be a stone-block with sawn-chopped (sawn and splitted) finish, the production of which inculcated enterprise from Nova Borova, and, by the way, the first in Ukraine. Goods turn out excellent: pleasant exterior, top and bottom of granite stone block – sawn, sides are chopped, paving is produced on a glue, cement and on a concrete basis. Natural stone borders (kerbstones) became the next novelty, for the production of which experienced designers developed the special machine-tool due to which the most intricate problem of exact removal of largeness edge was solved.
What do you think about the tile with surface like (of) «rock» which now similarly successfully this enterprise produces, that once again testifies about possibilities of further assortment development. Thus, there are enormous backlogs in this sphere, about what, by the way, the richest experience China stone-process shows most brightly, the firms of which offer today hundreds and thousands of products types from natural stone. So it is funny to talk to talk about advantages of cement-sandy piece blocks in relation to assortment granite as well as about qualities of raw material.
Let us think: well, what is concrete basis? If we take into account, that a human factor occupies an enormous place. Quite another matter is natural stone which is found on the territory of Zhitomir area. In fact, there is not a secret, that granites exactly of our region are ecologically safe and to my surprise hard, having 3-milliardth history of formation, that contributes to longevity and high water impenetrability of the finished products. So, for the sake of providing a user with the products, in accordance with the world standards of quality, “Unikom-prom” uses actually 90% self-possessed stone from Zhytomir area, having, by the way, enough rich colour gamut: black, light-grey, dark-grey, red, green etc. So that, frankly speaking, it is not clear why many builders use a cement-sandy piece blocks, though its price differs a little from the cost of natural paving stones, the production of which is carried out, as in this case, at high technological level. In relation to prospects, it is possible with confidence to say that they are good enough; a splitting factory in Nova Borova continues to develop in the selected direction, due to implementation of world experience and selfinvesting, that leads to the increase of production volumes, upgrading products and labour productivity, development of new types of goods and advancement to the new markets.
